Arrowood GC
Friday April 18,
2008
We had a fun
day of golf on Friday as our monthly golf tour visited the
beautiful course at Arrowood Golf Club, in Oceanside.
There were 14 players in the field, all eager to showcase their
golf game. The course was tough and tight. The
staff at the course was very friendly.
Welcome to
Terry Chew and Andy Trees, who came out and joined
in on the golf for his first time with our group this year.
Congratulations to our low gross winner Andy Trees,
who posted a 80. Andy has a smooth swing and he really
knows how to manage his game.
Our low
net winner goes to Darryn Prince, who has been
seriously working on his game these past few months. He
recently took up golf just last year and today, he did quite
well and posted a net 65. He says he hasn't broken 100 yet
in the gross scoring department, but it looks like he is getting
very close. By the way, today is Darryn's Birthday !!!..
What a nice gift he gave himself...by scoring the best low net
round !.
We didn't
score any team games, but the tournament committee decided to
have a "Blind Draw" match play card off game. After
the blind draw matches were determined, the score cards were
compared. Below you'll see the results. Some of the
matches were very close.
Darren
Maglidt cleaned up on the skins for this outing. He
won a total of 4 skins for 200 points. Way to go !!
Quest for
the 2008 Seacoast Cup - This year will
be full of fun times on the golf course. We have added a
new dimension to our club’s monthly event play by having
Match Play events beginning September 2008. We will be
taking the top 12 spots on our Seacoast points leader board and
set up match play until we have a final winner to be declared
our club champion. So in order to make it to the top
positions, come out, participate, and play. Points may
be earned in the following categories: both gross and
net stroke play, team stroke play, and also in net
skins.
Remember
only those players who have an official SCGA or USGA golf
index qualify for low net play and compete in Seacoast Christian
Golf Club Points System. Players who participate in
our events who do not have an official golf index / handicap,
may be assigned a course handicap and may participate and
qualify for team net play or for net skin play. For
information on how to obtain an official golf index contact
