Friday,
August 19 – Escondido CC – California
We had a beautiful warm day of golf
at Chuck White’s home course, Escondido Country Club!! We want to
thank Chuck and his club for hosting our group and also for the
delicious food that was provided after our round. Several of you
guys shot some low scores, but Todd Nalley (also a member of
Escondido) showed us how course knowledge can be an asset, by going
low and shooting a 71 for low gross honors. In the low net
scoring we had a three way tie between, Doug Cassat, Todd
Cochran and Damon Westwood, all who had a net 66.

Welcome to our new comers for
this year, Prashant Patel and
Sam Dove. We hope you had a fun time with our golf group and
will join us again next month.
Our
next monthly outing will be taking us out to the new
Arrowood Golf Club in
Oceanside. This course recently opened up earlier this past Summer
and has had some very good reviews. We have tentatively 12 spots
open for this event. If you want to play on Saturday, September 17,
in the morning we are now filling in the spots. So reserve your
spot by emailing Curtis Chan at
CurtisChanDDS@aol.com
This year we are implementing a
points system for those playing. Points will be awarded according
to how you finish in the field of players. Those of you who still
need an official golf index and would like to join the SCGA through
our group please contact Curtis Chan for more details:

Next Golf Outing: September 17, 2005
Points System for 2005
For those who have an SCGA
membership through San Diego Dental Golf
Club, we will be implementing a point system
to add a competitive edge to our club. Each
event will offer points depending on how you
finish amongst the field of players. Events
will be indexed and low net scores will be
calculated according to each member’s
monthly index. Players will earn points in
two categories: low gross and low net.
Overall total points will be calculated
after each event. We will keep a running
total throughout the year for those who want
to compete and we'll think of prizes for the
winners at the end. Standings will be
posted each month. If you have any
