We had the most incredible weather for golf on Friday. The temps were perfect, the course was in great shape, the greens were smooth and fast, and the company and fellowship was fun. Welcome to our group Conrad Sun, who showed us his golf talents and took honors for low gross winner (80). And we welcome back those players who haven’t made a showing for several months, Robert Allen and Andy Trees. Congrats to Dan Anderson, who once again pulls out another low net win (67). Actually there was a tie between Conrad and Dan, but when we go the score cards and determined the ties, and the low net win went to Dan. As far as our leader board goes, Tom Robinson remains the winner in the points standings and we as a group congratulate him for keeping his top spot in tack for the whole year. Several of us tried our best to catch you, but we ran out of events. We had fun playing a team 4 ball event. The teams proved to be quite even with 3 of the 4 teams coming in at 9 under. The team ties had to be determined by going to the score cards and having a card off. The winners ended up to be Curtis Chan and Tom Robinson. Tom scored a net eagle on hole #14 which broke the ties. The teams came in the following order:

Points System for 2005 For those who have an SCGA membership through Seascoast Christian Golf Club, we will be implementing a point system to add a competitive edge to our club. Each event will offer points depending on how you finish amongst the field of players. Events will be indexed and low net scores will be calculated according to each member’s monthly index. Players will earn points in two categories: low gross and low net. Overall total points will be calculated after each event. We will keep a running total throughout the year for those who want to compete and we'll think of prizes for the winners at the end. Standings will be posted each month.
