Encinitas Ranch Golf Club,
Encinitas CA
We had a treacherous day on the golf
course as the small field of players negotiated their way around the
course battling the strong winds. There was the threat of rain much of
the time, but we never had to pull out the rain gear and umbrellas. At
least we all could say we played in 40 mph winds that were baffling our
balls as we tried to guide the putts into the cup.
Welcome to our club Jason Mayer,
who hung in there and battled the winds and posted a low gross 89. Our
low net winner is Bob Newby.
This year will be
full of fun times. We have will be adding a new dimension to our club’s
play be having Match Play events beginning September 2007. We will be
taking the top 8 spots on our Seacoast points leader board and set up
match play until we have a final winner to be declared our club
champion. So in order to make it to the top positions, you need to come out,
participate, and play. Points may be earned in the following
categories: both gross and net stroke play, team
stroke play, and also in net skins.
Remember only those players who have
an official SCGA or USGA golf index qualify for low net play and
compete in Seacoast Christian Golf Club Points System. Players who
participate in our events who do not have an official golf index /
handicap, may be assigned a course handicap and may participate and
qualify for team net play or for net skin play. For information on how
to obtain an official golf index contact Curtis Chan and visit :
