2009 Winter Event - January 30, 2009
The Crossings at Carlsbad
We had a nice turn out for our Winter event. We had 19 players
for the event with several new faces. Several players even met up
with past friendships and recounted times from dental school days. Thanks to
Gary Vest who brought out some buddies from the Mid-West to fill out our
field, we all joined in on great fun as we had one of the most spectacular, beautiful,
clear, warm days to play golf on the last day of January.
The course had the upper hand on all of our golf games as everyone
experienced the "3 putt" challenge of the The Crossings' giant greens.
Pin placements were a challenge and those who made pars and birdies
certainly earned every part of it. In the end we all
realized how difficult this course and golf game can be, but we all love
this game and will most definitely return again.
Below are the score cards and winners. Congratulations to all who
came and we will have another event in a few months so keep your eyes
open when the next invite comes out. We plan to have a 2 day event
March 27-28, 2009 so mark your calendars. |
