Friday, June 17 - Maderas Golf Club, Poway, California

We had a beautiful day of golf !  The course proved to be quite challenging and many of you spent time   exploring the “wilderness” while searching for your lost ball.  Nevertheless, a tough day on the golf course sure beats out  a day of work. 

Welcome to our golf group group Paul Stenberg, Bob Newby and Jim Panigall, and Palmer Blair.   A big thanks to Chuck White for putting the final pairings together... we all had a fun time. 

Congrats goes to team of Todd Cochran and Todd Nalley for shooting the team low net round of 9 under.

For individual honors, congratulations go to Todd Nalley for scoring a low gross 76 and a low net 71.

This year we are implementing a points system for those playing.  Points will be awarded according to how you finish in the field of players.  Those of you who still need an official golf index and would like to join the SCGA through our group please contact Curtis Chan for more details: CurtisChanDDS@aol.com

Below are the results of our last outing along with the points awarded. 

Our next event will be on Saturday,  July 16.   We have 20 spots available for our group.  We will be playing at the beautiful and challenging Mt. Woodson Golf Club near Poway.  Tee times will be in the morning starting aound 8:00am.    If you want to participate in this next event,  contact Curtis Chan to register and hold your spot at: CurtisChanDDS@aol.com.  For this outing you must also send in your green fees in advance to keep your reservation.  Please send $85 made out to SDDGG and send to:

Next Golf Outing: Saturday, July 16,  2005

Points System for 2005

For those who have an SCGA membership through San Diego Dental Golf Club, we will be implementing a point system to add a competitive edge to our club.  Each event will offer points depending on how you finish amongst the field of players.  Events will be indexed and low net scores will be calculated according to each member’s monthly index.  Players will earn points in two categories:   low gross and low net. Overall total points will be calculated after each event.  We will keep a running total throughout the year for those who want to compete and we'll think of prizes for the winners at the end.   Standings will be posted each month.  If you have any questions contact  Curtis Chan (CurtisChanDDS@aol.com).
