We finally played a full 18 holes without rain
!!!! We all had a good time getting back into the swing of things
and enjoying each other’s company on the course. We tried to put in
a 3 man waltz competition, but due to the fact that Group 1 players
played from the wrong tee box, it would not be fair to fully
consider this to be an even competition since the rest of us played
from the green box. So the rules committee decided not to score the
“waltz” game and not to penalize that group for not following the
rules. Is that really fair?.... Bob Newby had a good enough excuse
in that he says he didn’t get the last email that said we were
playing form the Green box, since the Seacoast Church dsl line was
out of order last week.
Congrats go to Pat Willin (77) for Low
Gross score and Dan Anderson (62) for Low Net score. Way to
go to the two of you for playing and shooting great scores.
In this year’s playing format, points will be
given for both low gross and low net categories. Points will be
earned according how each players finishes in the field and also how
you placed as a team if a team competition was played. Only ties
between first place finishers will be decided by going to the score
cards. If you have any questions, contact Curtis Chan or Bob Newby.
Next month we will be playing on Friday, April
8, 2005.
