The Crossings at Carlsbad GC
Friday, March 5, 2010
We had 24 players in our field today, the third event
of our Seacoast Cup Golf Season.
The course today was challenging and tight.
Several in our fields gave up more shots than they intended and
went high with their scores.
A few maintained their composure and played their “A” came and
posted net scores right at
their playing potential.
The weather was just perfect as we can only thank the Lord for
granting us such nice sunny days while the rest of our country deals
with freezing snow, cold rains, and floods.
Welcome to our group:
Scott Tucker, Lee Fitzgerld, Tom Lange, and
Todd DeRenzis.
Some of you new guys have official indices so you qualify to
compete in our net scoring as well as match play competition.
If any of you who don’t have an official monthly golf index and
are interested in starting one, contact Curtis Chan.
Congratulations to
Jon Olson who played his “A”
game today and posted the low gross score 78.
Jon kept his putts controlled and didn’t get overtaken by the “3
putt” bug today. Low Net
honors goes to Dan Anderson who posted the low net 71.
Dan kept his composure and didn’t let the course intimidate his
game today.
Today’s play also involved out normal comptetions, but
instead of team competition, we had a “blind draw” match play
competition. Below are the
results:
New
GHIN Index System – many of you posted your scores on Friday
with the new GHIN Computer system which the SCGA has implemented last
week. With this all SCGA
member numbers were assigned a 7 digit member number.
For the majority of our club, this meant a “9” was added to the
beginning of your exisiting membership number.
A few players were assigned an entirely new number.
If you have any problems regarding your member number let me
know. You can post and view
your stats at : SCGA.org
or visit GHIN.com.
Our club allows players to post their scores online if you we not
able to post your scores at the course.
