Woods Valley Golf Club
What a great day for
golf we had last Saturday. It actually got pretty warm (90’s) after we
got underway. We all found out how tight this course was, and the pin
placements were quite tricky. Rumor has it that the club pro wanted to
punish Todd Nalley and Chuck White since they won a
previous bet with him, so, he made sure that there would be difficulties
encountered during out round.
Welcome to our group
Dave Donnelly. We all had a fun time, and below are the
results. A big thanks to Robert Allen from Henry Schein who
sponsored our closest to the pin on hole #8. There was a $200 gift
certificate to be won, and congratulations to to Tahir Paul who
place his shot 9 feet from the hole.
Congrats go to
Todd Nalley for shooting the low Gross score (79) and Sam Dove
for scoring the low Net score (71). They both earned $25 for taking the
top spots.

our Points Leader Board,
Doug Cassat still leads the field, but Hank Tear is making a run for the
top spot with 1more event to play.
Keeping Your Index True - Some of you are not posting your
rounds, and it is important that you utilize the “online posting” that
SCGA offers us. If you have not posted rounds which you have played
these past months just go to scga.org and get set up and post!! The
handicap chairman has the ability as well as all the scga members to
view your monthly scores…so lets’ all be diligent to keep our monthly
indices legitimate.
Our next
event will be on Friday, December 22, 2006. We will
play at The Golf Club
of California.
Chuck White has arranged another great opportunity to play on of San
Diego's premier private golf club. Green fees will be only $65
/cart/range ball. If you

Points System for 2006
For those who have an SCGA
membership through San Diego Dental Golf
Club, we will be implementing a point system
to add a competitive edge to our club. Each
event will offer points depending on how you
finish amongst the field of players. Events
will be indexed and low net scores will be
calculated according to each member’s
monthly index. Players will earn points in
two categories: low gross and low net.
Overall total points will be calculated
after each event. We will keep a running
total throughout the year for those who want
to compete and we'll think of prizes for the
winners at the end. Standings will be
posted each month. If you have any
