We had a fun time last Friday .  Welcome to our group new comers:  Louis McKay, David Abella, and Craig Uejo.  Also a big welcome to Mike Yorkey who promised to make a showing this year and this past Friday was his day to fulfill the promise.  There were a lot of good shots made and some shots we all would rather not discuss.  In the end, congratualtions go to David Abella for shooting a low gross 80.  Low Net honors go to Bob Newby for scoring a 69 for his round. 

Here are the winners of our low net skins game ( to win a skin you must have the sole lowest net score amongst the field) 

Hole #1  - Craig Uejo (par) net birdie

Hole #2  - Louis McKay (birdie) net eagle

Hole #3  – Mike Yorkey (birdie) net eagle

Hole #4  – Bob Newby (bogey) net eagle

Hole #5  – Bill Buchanan (birdie) net eagle

Hole #11 - Mike Yorkey (par) net birdie

Hole #17 – Curtis Chan (birdie) net eagle 

Our leader board is still led by Curtis Chan, but Bob Newby is gaining on the lead with 2 more events left for the year.  “ The more events you play, the more points you earn”….quote from past leader board winner Tom Robinson.

Remember only those players who have an official SCGA or USGA golf index qualify for low net play and compete in Seacoast Christian Golf Club Points System.   For information on how to obtain an official golf index contact Curtis Chan and visit : Membership and SCGA

Points System for 2006

For those who have an SCGA membership through Seascoast Christian Golf Club, we will be implementing a point system to add a competitive edge to our club.  Each event will offer points depending on how you finish amongst the field of players.  Events will be indexed and low net scores will be calculated according to each member’s monthly index.  Players will earn points in two categories:   low gross and low net. Overall total points will be calculated after each event.  We will keep a running total throughout the year for those who want to compete and we'll think of prizes for the winners at the end.   Standings will be posted each month.  If you have any questions contact Bob Newby (bnewby@seacoast-church.org) or Curtis Chan (CurtisChanDDS@aol.com).
